Great fall of China: World’s most dangerous slide attracts complaints
Could this be the most dangerous slide in the world?
Even the bravest thrill-seeker may turn down the chance to take the plunge on this slide given its precarious positioning.
Perched atop a three-storey building with a 12m (40ft) drop into the car park below, the slide has attracted complaints from residents in eastern China.
The play-frame was constructed on top of the factory where it was made in Heze, Shandong province.
The PR exercised backfired, however, with residents concerned about children playing on it.
‘We worry that out children might get in there at weekends and try to play on it. You’d have to be mad to put a slide there,’ said one parent.
The company has said the slide is only in place for advertising purposes and will never be used.
‘But we can understand people’s fears so we will be removing the slide,’ said a spokesman.
